Jackson, Tennessee USAAin't no pretending with Eyeam as he strip's down to his naked truth while a slow tempo rolls in, delivering a mellowly lullaby on his track 'Love Me'. Straight off his album 'Please Generation Z...Love Me', Eyeam soothes the soul with a gentle berceuse, airy angelic ad libs and striking vunerability, keeping it one hunnid when it comes to loving him. Basically, just love him cause he's cool and his funny, not for his money! A relatable narrative. To put it plainly, he's found that one and he's sprung - singing about how he is unable to act like he doesn't need his girl, and that feeling is explored below the surface with melodic R&B and a space of pure honesty on Love Me. "I wrote Love Me when I was in fear of starting a new relationship. I’m always focused on the future never the present, and honestly that’s my biggest downfall. I was terrible at compromising, I would ghost and I thought all girls were the same, possibly pushing away a good thing with my doubt and insecurities. Love Me is about accepting and staying in love through the flaws, it's about building a beautiful relationship" - Eyeam. Eyeam's transparently smooth tone navigates through producer Prevos' dulcet simplicity. These two induce you into a dream-like state, floating between the fluffiest cumulus clouds above the ocean with their stress relieving, life reviving audio. "My Boy Prevos (@prevos7) is one of my fav producers on my team from Brazil! He always sends me a beatpack & one day he sent this magic, and it was just perfect for how I was feeling in that moment" - Eyeam. With two latest releases under his belt, Eyeam has more where that came from with EP 'MegaStarE 2' scheduled to drop shortly, so stay connected with Eyeam on IG and keep Love Me rolling on the rotation below!

MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIAShoey's, mosh pitting, profanities, 45 minutes of pure entertainment against a screen of transitioning images, and splashes of red and green-hued lights in the background is what you can expect from a Squid the Kid show. If we had to summarize the experience in one word, it's cathartic. Supporting his set was a line-up of Melbourne stars ranging from the sweetly seductive Julia Lostrom, the spicy r.em.edy, artistic Mr Congo, and charged-up Dan Dib, to name a few. Moments of sway were met with hype moments, leaving the disappointment radar at a clean zero as the crowd stood alert and attentive throughout the show. Every act showed up and SHOWED OUT before the show's main star took over at Fitzroy's most beloved home of Hip Hop, Laundry Bar. As cliche as this may sound, Squid the Kid is a must-see! His character is alluring, unbothered, nonchalant to criticism, yet authentic throughout the show. His admirable confidence pairs well with his uplifting energy. He displays an advantage with his ability to fuse genres, creating a craft with an instant appeal to listeners. Stage presence is another thing; he has the power to expand to international waters. That's how infectious he is! Squid the Kid is destined to conquer the world, one city at a time! It quickly becomes apparent that the city of Melbourne is way too small for this significant act. When his vans hit the stage, Squid captivates his audience with high-energy engagement, performing classics such as Lazy as F*ck and presenting new material with his Destiny's Child-influenced track Cater. Cater is a modern-day love letter overflowing with a eurythmic chorus and an outstanding visual directed by Nick Rae. Squid the Kid is a certified lover boy, paying homage to 2004 hit Cater 2 U with his own twist of serenading sing-rapping. Softly filtered ad libs caress Squids controlled Hip-Hop melody. The setlist was perfectly arranged, with each track demonstrating Squid's ability of speed rapping, playful hooks, laid-back rhythm, and versatility. All the essentials that create a great artist. The crowd refused to stand still during Squid's performance! Hands were lifted, bodies were vibing, songs were sung along to and phone flashlights were shining while a phenomenal show was delivered. Impressive was the evening theme, with Squid the Kid providing constant bursts of energy without a break in between. He kept the momentum and dabbled in covers with the crowd singing along to Katy Perry's TGIF. However, it wasn't long until he jumped back into his own magic with effortless bars, instrumental breaks, and an encore begged by delightfully rowdy viewers. Do you know the excitement you get when watching a man tornado down a cold bottle of beer? That's the essence of Squid; observing him quenches one's thirst for excitement as he intertwines a lyrical adventure with aural satisfaction... he's a 10 without the buts, especially to witness. His presence is where intimate meets magnifying power; it's the type worthy of an arena performance - one IYCM is keen to witness in the future. NASHVILLE, TennesseeWhat happens when you have a bouncy beat, Koi Sway's enchanting ad libs and a flow filled with intensity and passion? You get 500 to Exhale by Qualls. Qualls is an instant attention grabber delivering earthy tones and a pen game with an immaculate ability to tell an authentic story. Clint Ford's revitalising production and Koi Sway vocals = you've got a 10/10 track. Koi does her thing, and she does it sweetly as she contributes to Qualls equilibrium between depth and surface, his reality and his thoughts, his demons and his angels that all link up to his honesty. "This process was about learning how to release. For me it was guilt and sorrow at the time. Being a prisoner of the past, especially when it comes to your own wrongdoings, it weighs on you. It’s easy to take on life’s baggage on a day to day and a week to week basis, but when it’s time to look in the mirror and address it to let go? That’s when the difficulties come and this track represents my state of mind during that process" - Qualls. The thing with 500 to Exhale, it's one of those tracks that give off a different vibe every time you listen. At first it feels like a block party jam, until Qualls unravels his story and reveals an extra dose of substance. Fast forward to the second play and Clint's production is reinvented due to a new perspective gained through Qualls songwriting. It's mutable, flowing, transforming itself like a mood ring. A sequence of magic. "Around that time I was going though somewhat of a burnout creatively. As a producer sometimes it’s easy to box yourself into what’s hot, chasing after popular trends instead of just making great music. I took some time to myself, and ironically it was like I had a chance to actually breathe and recharge. Exhale was one of the first tracks that I had made after this moment of rest. The overall beat just sounded refreshing to me. The record was definitely influenced by the ability to just create. Create what sounds great to you, fall into your own sound and let things grow out of that - Clint Ford. Qualls will be bringing this project to life visually in a "multitude of unique ways" which is why he needs to stay on your radar. Keep up to date with Qualls through social media, and add 500 to Exhale to your rotation!!! |
