Sefa - Yes Yes Ya'll (Sione Toki)

24/9/2020

IYC is rocking alongside Sefa on his track Yes Yes Ya'll, featuring Sione Toki. Taken from his album, "Broken Records",
Sefa delivers an upbeat track with a transparent twist.

Producer Kidy Dany and Sefa seem to have mastered the right amount of steady flow + infectious bounce that continue's to pull you into their energetic sequence on Yes Yes Ya'll.

Put the catchiness of bounce aside, a look into the lyrical content written by Sefa reveal's his own experience with depression.
From being trapped in his own mind, he notes he will shine bright in life, not needing any diamonds. Prevailing at his finest despite how he is feeling at the time.

"This song is actually about depression. I wasn’t mentally feeling my best one day and decided to put that into words for a song.
I wanted to convey that if people felt the same way, they weren’t alone. I don’t know if many people caught on to that, but that’s where I wrote it from" - Sefa.

Sefa tell's his story using Hip Hop as a mechanism.
Which is a great reminder of why this genre is still deeply valued, even if this isn't currently reflected on the music charts.

"I think we all battle with depression in some form or another and it’s easy to feel like you’re on your own, I wanted this track to let people know that isn’t the case and I’m with them" - Sefa.

If this is the first time you are hearing about rapper Sefa,
you have a bit of catching up to do as he has just released a brand new album titled, "Good Company".

SACRAMENTO

"They told me the grass ain't always green,
Back then I didn't know what they mean,
Now I know everything ain't always what it seems,
So I move according to what I see,
Doing what I feel like".
