2:19AM - Involved

16/2/2022

INDIANA, USA

"Just stay the night and lay it on my pillow,
Should've stayed at home why did I get involved,
I get involved,
Drop me the pin when I land in your city,
We gone get low and just on the way smoke some runts,
I play no games when it comes to your feelings,
I feel em all,
If I take another shot I'll be going home with you,
Tell them folks we going to live,
We gon' broadcast what we do"

You're entering into a world of ambient melodia, where dusk and dawn are irrelevant but demon hour stands still in time
as 2:19AM treats us to a lustful delusion on his latest release, Involved.

Have you ever wanted to stay another night with a stranger? Just float off into the temporary moment? Get lost in the vibe? Immerse yourself into the fleeting passion? 2:19AM brings that fantasy to reality and encases it with slow creeping verses, sweetly placed piano keys and deep raspy vocals.

At first listen, it's perceived as a late night engagement, but quickly turns into a lustful spell that is resistant to endings, and familiar with replays - shout out to the Spotify repeat button.

"I wanted to express myself with a new situation.
It was everything I wanted it to be and I was head over heels.
My words put you in my exact state of mind during the time. It's the cupcake phase where all red flags are green, and you almost start thinking about what it would be if this was life long" - 2:19AM.

Drowning in desire and facing a whole lotta stop signs, Involved is the perfect combination for those late night adventures that lead to nowhere physically, but everywhere mentally.

2022 is on full speed for 2:19AM with another single on the way for y'all, as well as a project titled 'Last Night in Paris' with music engineer French, loaded with 'serious heat, no skips'.

Continue the heat by adding Involved to your rotation, and stay in the loop with 2:19AM's future releases > @its219am.

Fungai - Confidence

1/2/2022

MELBOURNE, AUS

*INTRO*

"Yo I haven't felt this good in a minute man,
Like its been awhile since I felt like this,
But I'm back in my bag,
I feel colossal,
I feel like I was losing my confidence you know what I mean,
Now I'm back,
But nah you can't keep the coolest down"....

With a flow full of conviction and pockets full of drive, Fungai has an announcement nothing less than magnificent on the Nasper produced track, Confidence.

What we have here is a tightly packed, ear engaging aural sensation that comes with all the trimmings.
Think flow switch ups, lyrical accents and an attention grabbing message, all played over a beat full of instrumental ammo and ambition. That's what Fungai and Nasper have created.

Fungai lets ya'll know it's confidence you're hearing, not cockiness as he drops gems on where his focus was at in order to get to his current level of colossal!

"I wrote confidence on the back end of the second Melbourne lockdown. During this time I was feeling really low.
I had a lot of self-doubt and low self-esteem which led to a period of self reflection, and a reminder of who I am, what I’m about and what I have achieved so far in my music journey. That’s how it came about" - Fungai.

Confidence acts as an assassin to your inner unsureness, flipping it to certainty.
It's a hard nudge towards what one can achieve when self doubt is removed. A must add on all workout playlists.

"This song served as a form of reassurance and what’s even crazier is that on the day I wrote it, I had been watching vintage NBA games and the 2001 playoffs were on and that’s what inspired the art work" - Fungai.

Fungai will be releasing more high-level rap this year, along with organising showcases that focus on introducing a line up of new artists that y'all need to be watching out for in Burn City.

Catch us meditating to clear our consciousness as quoted in Fungailations 12:2,
and join us as we keep Confidence on replay in our rotation.
