Actions speak louder than words, and Jo Jodun makes that known on her self-produced and self-written single, FUNANDGAMES.
Jo Jodun sweeps you up into a slow, jazzy tranquilly, releasing a lover who failed to keep his word, inevitably bringing the story to a bitter end. It's the epitome of today's casual dating scene.
If unbothered and facade had a sound, FUNANDGAMES would be it, with Jo's distinctively purging vocals that scream 'I know my self-worth; I'm over this'.
"When I first recorded this song over a year ago, I named the track 'nazty'. I think it’s funny how producers just know the vibe of a song before it’s created. I wanted the listener to make a stank face and throw their head back and forth the same way I did when I played those chords. I love the way music evokes such a physical response from the mind and body and can make you really feel the story of a track." - Jo Jodun
It'll be a whole lot of the above as you take in the flow of intentional chords that Jo cooked up while she sings "I'ma die looking for a better you, but that's a disguise; it just wasn't true".
FUNANDGAMES is one of the tracks off her upcoming project, which will be a small catalogue of tracks that Jo Jodun has been curating for the past 3 years.

The stars seem to have aligned on Zuhair's newest release, Intimate, featuring Abel Firew, and we're so damn into it.
Intimate is the first single off of Zuhair's EP: Sunflowers, Peonies & Lavender, which, may we add, is named after his girl's favourite flower choice *fangirling.
Zuhair's alluringly smooth vocals are richly complemented by Abel Firew's sensual ad libs over a slow, steamy sound of seduction, produced by a2k.
It's a strikingly contemporary R&B slow jam, backed by piano love keys, gently descriptive lyrics written by Zuhair, and syrupy tones that transport you into a smokin' hot bedroom haven. Singing about his desire to love his girl down, Zuhair showers the melody with love, bringing a heat that leaves no room for anything less.
"Intimate is essentially meant to be a bouquet of flowers in the form of music.
This particular track is a sultry bedroom song about making love." - Zuhair.
Zuhair's EP, Sunflowers, Peonies, & Lavender produced by a2k, is available on all streaming platforms.

Sliding in and out of every verse over 808s and chilled tones, Jay Kira straight up O'D'd on his newly released track,
O'D Freestyle produced by the man himself.
Have y'all caught your breath? We're still trying to catch ours over here!
Jay Kira showcases his ability to effortlessly run circles on the beat, and he is quick with it.
He keeps up with the tempo on O'D freestyle, and best believe you're going to run it back.
Filled with energy, Jay spits about a lil cute thang that he is dealing with while flexing.
"OD Freestyle came about by just laying down verses with no real purpose other than to generate head bops and scrunch faces to a hard beat. It'll hype you up while you get ready to go out.
The song to warm up to, to ensure you drop 30 points in a career high game, the song to get the mosh pit in rage mode, and the track to vibe and dance a to". - Jay Kira
OD freestyle drips with excitement and litty-type energy.
You can feel the fun Jay Kira had in the booth while creating this.
"I wanted this track to be a universal intro track, not just musically but something to listen to before anything,
almost like a trigger to flip a hype switch.
The lyrics feature a lot of playfulness and braggadocio, as most freestyles usually do." - Jay Kira
His 4-track EP titled 'Nightscape' drops July 23rd.
Pen it in, update your notifications, and follow Jay Kira on Instagram for the drop.
In the meantime, keep the lead single from Nightscape in your rotation.
OD Freestyle - run it tf up!
