It was a means of cementing a place and a voice in Hip-Hop, and showcasing my character so that people can understand who I am. The word Hakeem in Arabic means wise and the lowercase “i” was intentional to symbolise that we are all wise in our own ways. When performing the song live, I encourage people to sing the chorus back for that reason" - Hakeem.
