MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIASweetly stealing attention, Hannah Cooper graces the scene with her self produced track, drive u crazy. Utilising a series of metaphors over acoustics, Hannah Cooper presents a soulful surprise. She's a great representation of less REALLY is more, and uses multiple musical elements to depict unconditional love in moments of chaos, that are carried by her sashaying timbre. "drive u crazy was inspired by a moment when I was learning to drive and found that my mum and I were driving each other crazy, and the idea evolved through the play on words. The driving theme became a metaphor for life changes and growing up, and the voice memo at the end is a soundscape of the happiness we share as a family when we’re together" - Hannah. Hannah delivers variety, vivacity, vocals and vibes on the minimalist track. She isn't fearful of exposing the organics. The soundscape seeps you into a settling peace, a sonic liberation that avoids overstimulation. "I included a sample of cars passing on a highway as I really like the additional texture it brings while setting the scene of the story. This sample runs throughout the track and can be heard clearly during a vocal pause in the chorus, a sonic representation of the lyrics. The beat itself, made up of a clapping sample and a bass drum, attempts to emulate a heartbeat, drawing on the lyrical content of the song and its focus on family, distance, connection and nostalgia" - Hannah. Drive u crazy is just one of the many reasons to plug yourself into the world of Hannah Cooper. With more music to be released, she's definitely an artist that needs to stay on everyone's agenda.
