"Around that time I was going though somewhat of a burnout creatively. As a producer sometimes it’s easy to box yourself into what’s hot, chasing after popular trends instead of just making great music. I took some time to myself, and ironically it was like I had a chance to actually breathe and recharge. Exhale was one of the first tracks that I had made after this moment of rest. The overall beat just sounded refreshing to me. The record was definitely influenced by the ability to just create. Create what sounds great to you, fall into your own sound and let things grow out of that - Clint Ford.
